In our school it is common that you have an English week in the fourth grade. Mine was in the period from February, 12th – February, 16th. Most of the time we were divided into two groups. We were primarily taught by Matthew and Adam, who are native speakers from Australia and Great Britain. In one lesson James from America stayed in our class and told us about the American way of life.
All in all, the English week was a great experience, because we spoke English all the time. Moreover, we played a lot of games, did several activities and discussed different topics. Additionally, we learned many new English words and got to know new cultures, which was really interesting.
On Friday, at the end of the week, we had to give a presentation on a specific topic. My group talked about Australia. It was really great to work with my friends and to learn more about this country and its culture. I think that the presentations of the others were really nice and also very interesting.
To sum up, I would definitely recommend the English week for next year because you can improve your English skills a lot.
