Food in Scotland
The British kitchen is not famous for being among the best ones all over the world, it’s rather the opposite. However I have to say, that I did not experience this – fortunately – and that this cliché might not be true.
The food on the island is quite good and the Scottish even have some specialties, such as haggis, which consists of almost everything from the inside of a sheep. They also have deep fried Mars, which is exactly what the name suggests. I tried them both and I really enjoyed it. (Jakob Korger, 6C)
Dynamic Earth
At first it has to be mentioned that this house is definitely not an ordinary, normal museum. I had very high expectations because I had heard and read before that it’s so awesome. In fact my expectations were more than fulfilled, because for me it was just great. Even if you are not into geography it is really interesting and has many variations between the rooms. You can see lots of videos and really feel the things. (Sara Strobl, 6C)

Portobello Beach
During our stay in Edinburgh, Scotland, some of us went to the Portobello Beach which is close to where we lived. You can get there really easy by using public transportation. And even though the weather was not nice enough for a typical beach day, we did enjoy our stay thoroughly. Furthermore I can only recommend going there, despite how good or bad the weather is, you will never regret it. Moreover there are the loveliest coffee shops right by the beach. So if you are planning to go to Edinburgh, go to Portobello Beach, it’s worth it. (Marisa Jauk, 6B)

Harry Potter Tour
The first thing you sense when you walk through the streets of Edinburgh is the magic that's in the air. The magic JK Rowling captured in her amazing Harry Potter series. There is no better place to go to than Edinburgh if you try to delve into the world of magic, as it is the birthplace of what we know as Harry Potter. We were so glad to have a guide who was able to take us into this amazing world, the world of wizardry. We visited the cemetery which housed Tom Riddell's grave, saw the places where JK Rowling wrote the books, went to Potter Row which was likely the inspiration for Harry's name and visited the school as well as the castle which inspired Hogwarts. It was a tour full of adventure and information on our esteemed author and our beloved denizens of the magic world. Altogether I would definitely recommend this trail to everybody who loves the magical world as much as I do and if you do, I promise you, it's a trail that will enchant you. Arthur's Seat
